This position is located within the Morale Welfare & Recreation (MWR), Naval Support Activity Bahrain. The incumbent of this position instructs individuals, groups and commands in the proper implementation and training for aerobic/anaerobic fitness, muscular strength conditions and flexibility training; as directed by the Sports and Fitness Coordinator provides general programs to command fitness leaders as required. Works with Sport Fitness Coordinator in developing and implementing fitness programs for authorized patrons and special needs such a body fat reduction lasting and related life-health improvements. Incumbent promotes and coordinates maximum fitness opportunities based on Navy guidelines designed to maintain and enhance readiness; follows established safe procedures for implementing a full range of fitness programs and services; is responsible for helping the Sport and Fitness Coordinator to determine patron interests, evaluate branch level programs, analyze participation, develop survey needs assessments, and related demographic data and feedback from users.

BG-06: GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Six (6) months, SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Six (6) months. OR EDUCATION: Two (2) years above high school with courses related to the occupation, if required.

Equivalent combinations of education and experience are qualifying for all grade levels and positions for which both education and experience are acceptable.

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT

  • Applicant must be able to speak, read, write and understand English fluently.
  • Work includes lifting, pushing and pulling, constructing and lifting heavy and bulky items. A considerable amount of standing is involved with this job.
  • Position may require irregular working hours when special events occur.
  • Position requires bending, lifting, operating and repairing various types of equipment.
