Group Exercise Classes

 
Navy Fitness is bringing you a variety of fitness classes, including Yoga, Cycle, Speed and Agility, Functional Fitness, Get Strong and Burn, and H20 Fit. All classes are free. See below for class descriptions and the next week’s lineup, or download the schedule under “Downloads.”

Functional Fitness

Classes will consist of a warm up, strength (power/olympic lifting) and conditioning workout. The mission is to create a culture of fitness to enhance overall health, maintain mission readiness and promote camaraderie. 

Cycle

Using the stationary bikes, this is a total cardio focus; guaranteed to be a fun and sweat filled workout!

Speed & Agility

Improve your body's ability to accelerate, deccelerate, change direction, and overall coordination and balance. Beneficial for those playing sports or preparing for their season. 

Guts and Glutes

Great work out for burning calories, more defined abs and toned glute curves you've always wanted! 

Yoga  

In this class, postures are practiced to align, strengthen and promote flixibility in the body. Breathing techniques and meditation are also integrated. You can expect an emphasis on simplicity, repetition, and ease of movement. Full-body relaxation and balance are the goals, as we make a full circuit of the body's range of motion with standing postures, twists, back-bends, forward folds and hip openers. 

Noffs Aquatics

A water-based strength and cardio conditioning class alternating in deep and shallow water. Paricipants should be comfortable in deep water and familiar with the flutter and breaststroke kicks. Equipment used will vary in each class but may inlude dumbells, kettlebells, water weights, kickboards, and much more!

Command PT

Appointment is required at the fitness center front desk. Exercise format is facilitated by our MWR fitness specialist and team of group class instructors. A class format choice of interval training, speed agility & quickness, yoga, get strong & burn and cycle. 

Kickboxing

The class, designed to improve striking power and endurance, co-ordination, teamwork and flexibility. WOrking in pairs you will hold pads for each other, learning a variety of striking techniques, defensive blocks and counter attacks.
