ABOUT THE JOB
This position serves as the Supervisory Food & Beverage Operations Manager for the Food and Beverage Division, Morale Welfare and Recreation (MWR) Department, NSA Bahrain. The incumbent is responsible for day to day operations of a complex and diverse Food & Beverage program. He/she has direct supervision of key management positions within the Food & Beverage Department and serves as (Acting) Food & Beverage Director in his/her absence. Responsible for procuring all items needed by the program and will prepare specifications, locate sources and pricing from local and non-local vendors. Performs routine product quality assurance testing on all food and beverage products produced at all outlets. Will assist the Club Complex Manager and the Food Court Manager with product research and development. Makes recommendations to the Food and Beverage Director based on market research, customer surveys and sales analysis. Keep abreast of the technical advances in food and beverage equipment and procedures. Assists in formulating local instructions, SOP’s and directives within the framework of local and DOD policies. Annually assist in developing an income, expenses and capital expenditure budget.

BG-11: EXPERIENCE: One (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to at least BG-09 level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.
Specialized experience is experience typically in or related to the work of the position that has equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities (KSA’s) to perform successfully the duties of the position.

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT
• Work is mix of sedentary and physical requiring walking, standing or lifting of items up to 50lbs. driving of an automobile or other conveyance to visit other facilities is also required.
• Must possess a minimum of 5 years equivalent work experience at a high volume food service production, restaurant, hotel or catering environment
• Must possess a minimum of 3years managing multiple food service concepts to include at least two of the following fast food, fast casual, casual theme dining, fine dining.
• Extensive knowledge of business operations and food service industry practices is required.
• May often be required to work other than normal duty hours, which may include evenings, weekends and or holidays
